Quality Isn't a Department
It's every person, every stitch, every inspection. Five stages of quality control, one standard: your buyer won't find a fault.
What Does AQL 2.5 Actually Mean?
AQL stands for Acceptable Quality Limit. It's the internationally recognised statistical sampling method used by retailers and brands worldwide to determine whether a production batch passes or fails inspection.
AQL 2.5 means: in any given inspection sample, a maximum of 2.5% of garments may have minor defects. If more than 2.5% are defective, the entire batch is rejected and reworked.
Our actual defect rate: <0.5%. We inspect to AQL 2.5, but our internal target is 5× stricter than what the standard requires.
Defect Classification
Critical
Safety hazard or regulatory non-compliance
Tolerance: 0 tolerated
Major
Functional defect affecting saleability
Tolerance: AQL 1.5
Minor
Cosmetic imperfection,不影响 function
Tolerance: AQL 2.5
Five Stages. Zero Escapes.
Fabric Inspection
Every fabric roll inspected for defects, colour consistency, and weight verification before cutting. 4-point inspection system.
In-Line Inspection
Quality checks at every production line every 2 hours. Stitch quality, seam strength, and measurement accuracy verified in real-time.
Mid-Line Audit
Independent QC team audits 50% of production at the halfway mark. Catches systematic issues before they spread across the order.
Final Inspection
Full AQL 2.5 statistical inspection on finished garments. Measurements, appearance, labelling, and packaging all checked.
Pre-Shipment Audit
Final random audit after packing. Carton labelling, assortment accuracy, and packaging integrity verified before container loading.
Tested to International Standards
Every fabric batch is tested in-house and verified by SGS-accredited labs. Full test reports available for every order.
Colour Fastness
Washing, rubbing, light, and perspiration fastness tested on every dye lot.
Dimensional Stability
Shrinkage and growth measured after wash/dry cycles to ensure fit consistency.
Pilling Resistance
Martindale abrasion testing ensures fabric surface stays clean after wear.
Tensile Strength
Fabric strength tested to guarantee durability through the garment lifecycle.
pH Value
Skin-safe pH levels verified. Critical for baby, kids, and sensitive-skin garments.
Formaldehyde Content
Tested to ensure compliance with EU REACH and UK textile regulations.
